( DAY 6 ) 10/4 MANCHESTER!

my god, i got so much to say about today!

okay, we got up real early tdy cos we gotta catch the early bus at 9.30am at Victoria coach stn to Manchester. =)

the bus was pretty nice and spacious, but was hard to find a good position to sleep. we ended up getting cramped everywhere. lol. There were a bunch of italians on the bus too with us talking bout manchester utd. i later realised why..

k, we reached Manchester later than scheduled and Meiyi was already there waiting for us.
so we took a bus back to her place. its a hostel! she has her own private room which looks really cosy.

after leaving our stuff, she brought us out to eat at Manchester Victoria, The Printworks. the train here is cheaper like 1.4opounds for a return ticket. In london, the tube cost 4 pounds for a a single way ticket! its like $12 just to take a train from Sengkang to Serangoon la. Crazy right. lucky here cheaper.

back to Printworks, they have alot of bars there and all. We ate at Nandos. Its a chicken heaven there. We order a whole chicken, 10 wings, 2 plates of rice and a large coslaw. Cost us 31pounds. ($93) can. We treated her.. we tried to stuff everything into our throats cos we would nvr spend such $ on a meal in sg. lol. After dinner she brought us around the place to shops like Mango, Primark, Topshop.... Woah the topshop here is the biggest! 3 big storeys!!! but still ex =(((((
Then she brought us to a bar in gay village. sadly we didnt see many gays. The bar was showing Manutd vs Roma, now i know why the italians were here for. hahas. Had a beer then headed off the cinema to watch Blades of Glory. The cinema here is free sitting and not much people, big screens and you can put your leg anywhere. so shiok! And the movie was quite funny also.. hahaha, thou we were like the only ones laughing in the theatre.

And we finally took a cab! its like the London cab. Took it cos there was no train back. Damn nice can! spacious and all.. but didnt manage to take photos cause i didnt bring the camera out today. so we're back at her hostel now. nice and cosy, brought tomyam maggie and oreos for her, funny thing is she cant get oreos here. funny huh.

And ya, Meiyi flatmates worked in old trafford and she said there were riots after the game cos Roma lost big time. Then Roma supporters were throwing their desserts all over the place and police had to use batons to stop everyone. Quite scary. =\

i'm so happy for two reasons,

we can upload the fotos in her laptop!!
and

she has the whole season of prision brk 1 & 2 !!!
